GENERAL INFO---I am definitely a fan and I have a number of Gillian-David live shows acquired off EZT +STG. Some songs are on a lot of the discs I listen too, while there are others that may only appear once or twice. There are interesting versions of some songs that differ from the usual. There is nothing here the hardcore fan has not seen in some context, except that some of the early stuff from the "working on a Bridge" 4CD set got remastered to correct pitch, remove excess hiss, etc. Some of the material from early pre-Rawlings stuff, perhaps Gilly with Harmony Grits? is terrific musically but comes off a source that was not originally recorded high quality, was a few generations,or had a real intrusive audience. I tried to balance priorites,to make everything acceptable without overprocessing. Most of the material on these discs was of good high quality and needed no repairs. A few songs had especially high aud-applause at the end that had to be lowered a bit so the whole disc would match up. Any crops were with CDWave to avoid SBE's,all other processes were in Soundforge 6 with the soundforge NR-2 plugin. I initially wanted a "rare stuff" compilation to bring to work or play in the car-thus the Title-"Travelin' Companion". Altogather there are 2 Discs, which I will upload seperate. Get one or both. Art will be on the thread. For those who may have a couple of GW-DR live and studio CDs,this will illustrate that Gillian has a lot of very good material never released,and/or rarely played. Her "rejects" would be some artist's "Best Of". For those with a lot of Gillian, maybe all the sources of this, having all these underexposed gems togather will be enjoyable. Special thanks to Vacaver and anyone else who put up the first seeds that became this set
